Located in the state of Himachal Pradesh Manali is one of the most loved tourist destinations. It is a teenage hotspot. Teenagers love this spot. It’s literally the first place that pops up in the mind of youngsters. After Goa, this is the second most loved destination here. It’s like whenever youngsters are planning a trip they just go like ”Manali Chale”.
Manali consists of a jaw-dropping scenic view, snow-clad mountains, meadows, lush greenery, etc. Manali has everything a tourist needs from temples to filled streets from rivers to trekking paths. During winter it’s a perfect place to play with snowballs and go skiing whilst looking at the beautiful snow lad peaks and during summer this place is a paragliding hotspot. Other than being a hub for adventure lovers, photographers, environmentalists, food lovers, hippies Manali also has a few spots with mixed good architecture so all the architecture admired can visit this place too. It is also a heaven for all the bikers after Ladakh this is the hotspot for all the bikers.
Top Spots One Can Visit in Manali
1) Hadimba Temple
This temple is a unique shrine that Is dedicated to Hadimba Devi who was the wife of Bhima and the mother of Ghatothkach. Located amidst the snow-clad beautiful hills this temple is really amazing and is a getaway for all the nature lovers. This temple is really important because it is a part of the epic tale of Mahabharata.it is like an escape for people who are tired of the street hassle. The construction of this temple is totally different from the usual it consists of a cone-shaped roof, walls, wooden doorways, etc. It is worth a visit.
2) Rohtang Pass
Located just 50km away from the main town the Rohtang pass is one of the most beautiful places in India. People usually plan a day off here. This pass is located at a huge height and people usually prefer going through a car there. This pass is located at a height of 3978 meters. Snow clad peaks, beautiful glaciers this place has got what every nature lover needs. As the car is going higher one can see amazing awestruck views. This pass has been a shooting sight for a lot of movies for example ”Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani”.
3) Solang Valley
Located 14km from the city Solang is yet another beautiful spot like Rohtang. This valley is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Himachal and sees a lot of tourists every year. This valley is a hotspot in Manali because it is a spot for all the nature lovers as well as for adventure lovers. One can perform various activities here like paragliding, jeep driving for every age group, horse riding, etc. During winters this valley is covered in snow so it becomes a popular spot for skiing and once the ice melts people zorb in that water. Zorbing without an inch of doubt is one of the best and the most fun activities one can perform. This is indeed one of the most active and lively places in Manali.
4) Nehru Kund
Nehru Kund is basically a water spring that is located on the Manali Leh highway. And it is said that it originates from the famous Bhrigu Lake. And it is a really beautiful water spring. It is said that this spring is named after Jawaharlal Nehru because whenever he used to visit Manali he used to visit this place for freshwater. This Kund is perfect for a photoshoot it looks really very pretty during subtle weather and is filled with tourists who are probably clicking pictures.
5) Vashisht Baths
It is usually said that temples help you rejuvenate your mind and soul but Manali has this really exotic bath where one can clean their mind and soul. This bath is located just 5lms away from the town. It is said that sometimes people get rid of their infections and wound after a dip in the holy water. Other than that there are a dozen shops around this bath where one can buy various articles and souvenirs.
6) Manali Sanctuary
This sanctuary is just located within walking distance from the town. Other than just wildlife one can find here beautiful exhilarating views. One can find reptiles, birds, animals, and mammals. There are rare animals as well as common animals found here. Animals like Himalayan Black Bear, Kashmir flying Squirrel, Himalayan Palm Civet, Himalayan Yellow-throated Marten, Barking Deer, Flying Fox, etc.are found here. Although this sanctuary is just spread across 31.8 km it is beautiful and breathtaking. Other than animals one can find picturesque scenes here too. And if you go to Manali and you don’t visit this sanctuary that means you haven’t seen Manali at all.
7) Himalaya Nyingmapa Buddhist
This is probably one of the most popular and the most beautiful monastery in India. This monastery is of high religious importance. Buddhists usually visit this monastery to regain their faith and piece. Tourists visit this area for architectural beauty and a calm environment. This monastery consists of beautiful architecture, colored walls, and has an enormous statue or idol of Sakyamuni in a sitting or meditative posture. This monastery is worth a visit.
I can go on and on about Manali but still can’t describe how beautiful Manali is. It’s full of beautiful scenes, temples, monasteries, adventure zones, etc. It is one of the top places to visit in India. And certainly number one on my list.
