A small town situated in the Mighty Himalayas is what describes Manali best. This popular hill station is a popular tourist spot in Himachal Pradesh.  A part of the Kullu district, it is one of the innumerable beautiful spots of Himachal Pradesh.

1. Drive along the Snowy Rohtang Pass

Stretching between the snowy hills, this beautiful patch f land is a must-visit alley. Filled with various snow-peaked hills on both sides this valley is a treat to look at.

As you drive your vehicle along this path, do not forget to absorb all the beautiful surroundings. The white tiny snowflakes falling to the ground looks like heaven.

A lot of movies are shot here for some natural and scenic beauty. A few examples are the famous movies like Jab We Met and Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani.

2. Ski down the Solang valley

With many ski resorts and training institutes situated at the foothills, Solang valley offers some of the best ski experiences out there. Enjoy the wing gushing on your face as you ski down these beautiful hillslopes. It is a very popular tourist spot so make sure you visit in time and with proper bookings.

Zorbing is the latest sport to join the list of Adventure sports.  Amidst the lap of nature, you will enjoy rolling down inside giant plastic balls. Yes, this is what Zorbing actually means. Sounds fun, right? Do give it a try when you visit.

3. Awaken your spiritual soul in these temples

Manali is home to a few nonchalant and famous temples in India. There are quite a few temples here which are one of its kind and honor some lesser-known deities.

The Hadimba temple is dedicated to the Goddess Hidimba, the Queen of the Mighty Bheem from the Pandava brothers. Though she is said to be a demon queen, she truly loved her Human Husband and even sends her son to fight for him. A three-day festival is conducted here to honor the Goddess.

Another lesser-known temple is the Manu temple. It is the only known temple dedicated to the Sage Manu. He is known as one of the greatest kings and later sages of all times and the creator of the human race. The temple itself is very unique having a structure like the Pagoda. Get lost in its eclectic beauty while embracing some divinity and charm.

4. Paraglide in the skies of Manali

Can you imagine how you would feel when surrounded by pristine blue skies and flying like a bird through the air? Paragliding is surely a sport that thrills you to the core and makes you feel free while gliding and flying through the skies.

It is definitely not a sport for the faint-hearted but we would advise you to keep your fear aside and go for it. Enjoy Paragliding on various slopes and valleys in Manali like the Solang valley. Observe the beautiful nature around you as you soar. The white cotton-like clouds mingled with coniferous pines and deodars make for breathtaking scenery.

5. Trek alongside the Beas Kund

With the Pir Panjal Mountain ranges and the river Beas flowing nearby, we cannot imagine a better trek for you in Manali. It offers a breathtaking view of the Beas Kund from the top especially in winters when it freezes. 

Treks are also done in various other regions like Chandratal Baralacha, Deo Tibba, and Bara Bhangal valleys. These are all beautiful in their own rights and offer something unique to its own. All the zealous and adventurous souls should surely try out all these treks if possible.

6. Camping at Kothi Village

As much as we love staying at fancy hotels and resorts, we all crave to be near nature once in a while. You should definitely try camping in this pretty little village when you visit to get a true blue Himacahali feel.
